Melanie Gambino brings 30 years of Continuum experience to her teaching repertoire. Continuum is the basis of all of her work and the underpinning philosophy of her life. Melanie assisted Emilie Conrad, the founder of Continuum, in workshops throughout the east coast for many years. Melanie also participated in countless teacher trainings/gatherings and meetings, as well as depth retreats and practicums with Emilie over the course of 30 years. Melanie was authorized by Emilie to teach Continuum.

Melanie has studied and taught a variety of somatic practices and has danced, performed, directed and choreographed professionally throughout her entire life. Melanie is on the faculty at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, where she teaches Continuum to Dance Majors in her course, "Developing Presence from Process to Performance." She is the Resident Choreographer and Director of Dance, Somatic Movement, Mindfulness & Meditation Studies at The Harvey School Performing Arts Department.

Melanie holds a BFA, BA, MA, in a variety of interdisciplinary and related fields. Melanie is on the Board of ISMETA and is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator. In addition, she is an ordained minister of healing and interfaith services through HLCC and has served as CAM Therapist, and Expressive Healing Arts Therapist, Chaplain and Director of Pastoral Care in several area Hospitals, Hospices, Nursing Homes and Rehab Centers.

Melanie is a committed/passionate teacher and an inspirational and motivational speaker. She is dedicated to the inquiry and exploration of what it means to be a human being/artist at this time in our ever-changing world.
