EXPLORING ~ A Continuum Immersion

Chers amis dans le domaine des fluides,

About 6 months ago we moved from the place we called home for almost 15 years. Change never comes easy to me. I was very aware of my adaptive patterns and how challenging it was to let go of the familiar!

Our new home is fabulous! We landed in a busy neighborhood in LA. It took months to settle and open myself to begin exploring the place where I am living.
One day….one day…..I decide to cross the busy boulevard a few blocks from my house and AWE strikes!

A fabulous trail with native plants revealed itself. Bird song. A creek with abundant wild life. A park with fountains and lotus flowers. WOW!!!!
What does it take to open myself up to “exploring” with no anticipation, expectations or preferences?
What are the conditions necessary to engage in ‘exploring” with presence, receiving the beauty and life around me just by crossing a busy street?

Opening myself up to exploring my surroundings lead me to the quote of Stanley Keleman below. A deeper inquiry of what true/safe homeland is, was ignited by just being willing to explore the unknown..

“The deepest pulsations in the body take us back to an undifferentiated tide, which is our true homeland.”

I allow these words to touch every cell of my being and I explore the sensations that emerge when I feel safe in my true homeland, my body….my breath slows down, my back body receives the Earth more readily, my mind quiets, my skin stops separating me from my surroundings.

When I can touch the deeper pulsations in my body, my curiosity and eagerness to explore the undifferentiated tide Keleman refers to ignite.
Sensations in my body guide my exploration. I find a bio-rhythm not in alignment with the business of my daily life. It feels unfamiliar. I try finding my go-to, usual patterns of movement to “ground”.
I hear these words from my teacher, mentor and founder of Continuum, Emilie Conrad:

“Sensation is not just the messenger of pain, discomfort, and other emotions but is the link to an extraordinary aesthetic landscape that is our birthright.”
~ Life on Land, p. xiii-xiv

Birthright…Homeland….Deeper pulsations…Undifferentiated tide…..YES! My exploring begins now!

Through breath becoming audible with reverberating sounds, I explore sensation.
Paying attention to sensations, I explore whispers of movement.
Following my attention with open curiosity, I explore my fluid body responding to deeper rhythms.
Allowing time to listen to the fluids in my body, I explore streams of aliveness.
Swimming in the streams of aliveness, I explore deeper pulsations, swirling impulses, spiraling expressions…they lead me to an undulatory movement connecting me with all.
Being with my body in this manner I re-member my homeland.
Being with my body in sensation is my birthright.

I invite you to join me and a dedicated group of Continuum practitioners to experience exploring true homeland and birthright in the body.
Gift yourself with the time and space dedicated to enter the deeper pulsations below the noise of “life as we know it”.
Open the door to enter the wellspring of exploring health and well-being while tending to the world within and around you!
Join our circle to explore the undifferentiated tide of homeland!

See you in June!

Chaleureusement,
Marcella
