Everything Changes

Everything Changes
Change is a part of life. Rebecca explores how Continuum, along with other practices supports the capacity to adapt, grow, evolve, and find creative responses to our inevitable shifting context.

Everything Changes.  If you are like me, you have heard this a million times and every cell of your cognitive faculties would agree.  Change is part of life!  The healthy individual has the capacity to adapt, grow, evolve, and find creative responses to our inevitable shifting context.  In so doing, we expand our capacities to relate, think, and manifest our respective gifts.

But in every cycle there comes a time of shedding, a composting, and a loss.  When change lands in the darker side of experience, when the ground of familiarity is uprooted, when preferences are no longer options, it is harder to welcome our present realities. It is tempting to recoil into a place of sadness or fear.  I am reminded over and over how much psychic strength it requires to hold the emotional vulnerability surrounding loss while not being overwhelmed by it.

To create and sustain the necessary resources and support, I return to "the practices" which offer me steady touchstones in difficult times.  There are a host of practices including dance, yoga, meditation, nature, music, writing, poetry, and.... Continuum.

I am forever grateful for Continuum practice.  When I offer my attention and awareness to perceptual play, I am in direct experience, discovery, the now - not what was or what isn't yet.  Each moment of presence that I cultivate with the living body, and living planetary body, are dots of restoration and health - tiny Pearls.  And in time, they eventually become a necklace of grace.
